Two Carolina Wren Chicks Snuggle together on Tree Branch, cute baby birds

Carolina Wren Chicks Snuggle on a Tree Branch

Carolina Wrens can be found in the South-eastern United States. They are frequent explorers of backyard bushes and underbrush. You may not always see them, but you will certainly hear the Carolina Wrens distinct whistled call that sounds like “tea-kettle, tea-kettle, tea-kettle.”

These two hatchlings were spotted together in Upstate New York in Mid-May.

Wrens primarily have a diet of bugs, but can be seen at bird feeders occasionally. Try putting out mealworms, suet, or sunflower seeds to attract them. Keeping your feeders in a brush covered area will also help these birds to feel more comfortable approaching.
